The Composers
Robert Carver
The Scottish composer Robert Carver's music made a significant contribution to the music of the scottish renaissance. Little is known about him, with even his dates of birth and death being points of some dispute. He was born in approximately 1490, and died after 1546.
Notes
The motet O bone Jesu for 19 voices is one of the few surviving works of Scottish composer Robert Carver. It is not known exactly when it was written, but it probably dates from the mid 1520s.
