1995 saw the return of Bond, this time portrayed by Pierce Brosnan, generally regarded as the best 007 since Sean Connery. With a strong story, plenty of action and bond girls, Izabella Scorupco and Famke Janssen, GoldenEye was a great success. Then comes the disappointing music, with Eric Serra's score roundly criticised for its lack of identifiable Bond elements. Tina Turner sings the rather cheesy title number.
