Monty Norman
Notes
The first outing for Ian Fleming's spy hero is one of the more successful Bond films. Released in 1962 and starring Sean Connery and Ursula Andress, the fast action-packed pace owed a great deal to Monty Norman's score.
The James Bond Theme itself has been the subject of much controversy. A recent court case upheld Norman's authorship claim and credited later Bond composer John Barry merely with arranging the number for his jazz band. In either case, the theme has entered movie history and has been used for every official Bond film since.
