Weddings Back to Musical Occasions
Music for weddings is often celebratory and therefore tends to be in a major key with lots of bright sounds. Music featuring the trumpet, a very bright sounding instrument, is often used for this reason. As much of the music used at weddings accompanies entrances and exits, it is often stately or march-like to allow an easy walking pace. Often, however, the personal taste of the happy couple is more important for wedding music than functional considerations.
