This is contemporary music even though it was written in 1948. In a landscape (from 'Daughters of The Lonesome Isle'), the second track here, is intimate and any lover of music will be able to relate to it. Not all contemporary music is inaccessible. Any lover of Bach or Chopin or Berlioz or Rachmaninov will surely find that this music is a sheer pleasure - and takes you into a different realm.
