Stockhausen 76:55

This is a brilliant recording which plays with the borderline between music, rhythm and noise. Personally it is all music to me - the sounds are kept distinct, but merge after several minutes of listening into a 'piece' in any meaningful sense of the word. It is perhaps rhythm which is more important that pitch or timbre here. I remember hearing stockhausen give a talk in the 1960s when he spoke about rhythm being primal. Long live his memory
