Fenaroli, Stabat Mater 49:30
Download
I was looking into recordings of the Rossini Stabat mater because a friend told me that Rossini once conductd a choir of 50,000 people singing - which was the largest collection of musicians in the history of the world (all performing one single piece). But in my research I came across Fenaroli, who also wrote a Stabat Mater. Amazing - the clarity of the singing, and intertwining lines is quite enchanting. Had to save it as a playlist.
