Notes
Vincent Youmans's 1923 musical No, no, Nanette, with lyrics by Caesar and Harbach and story by Harbach and F. Mandel, became the biggest comedy hit of the 1920s following its first performance on 16 September 1925 at Broadway's Globe Theatre. With hit songs such as the famous Tea for Two and I Want to be Happy, its silly story and charming 20s atmosphere have ensured regular revivals.
