William Boyce
English Born 11 Sep 1711 Died 07 Feb 1779Dimiter Petkov, who holds a degree from the Sofia Conservatory of Music and Drama, made his debut in Sofia National Opera as Zaccaria in Nabucco. In 1969 he made his Verona debut as Philip II in Don Carlos and, after returning in 1981, has performed there every year in a Verdi opera.
In 1975 he settled in Geneva, travelling all over the world to sing in the major operatic centres. His repertory encompasses all the great bass roles in Russian opera (he has performed Boris Godunov on at least 150 occasions), and the great roles of Verdi and Bellini.
