Trevor Pinnock trained as a chorister at Canterbury Cathedral and was a scholar at the Royal College of Music. As director of The English Concert since 1973, he has established a reputation as a conductor alongside his status as one of the world's great harpsichord virtuosi.

Recent appearances include performances with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie and the Vienna Philharmonic, and Trevor is due to appear in duo recitals with the great violinist, Maxim Vengerov.

Trevor's recent solo recordings include the Scarlatti sonatas, Handel's Harpsichord Suites and Bach's Goldberg Variations. In 1992 he received a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
