John Blow


Wojciech Michniewski was born in Lodz, Poland in 1947 and studied conducting with Professor Stanislaw Wislocki and theory and composition at the Warsaw Academy of Music. In 1973 he became head assistant for the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra and in 1976 became one of its permanent conductors. He has also been Artistic Director of the Lodz Grand Theater of opera, the main guest conductor of the Polish Chamber Orchestra, and in 1987 became the Artistic Director of the Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra.
