Liliana Vassileva obtained her singing diploma from the National State Academy of Sofia and started her career in the Varna Opera before moving to Sofia National Opera. With her husband, Nicola Nicolov, she has performed throughout Europe and is particularly noted for her roles as Violetta (La Traviata), Mimi (La Bohème), Gilda (Rigoletto), Marguerite (Faust) and Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail).
