Born in Manchester in 1964, Ronan O'Hora studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he won several awards. In 1985, he won the Stefania Nickrasz Prize, awarded every five years to an outstanding exponent of Chopin. Whilst still at college he received invitations to appear with many of the UK's leading orchestras, and has since returned regularly to all these orchestras.

Ronan O'Hora is now firmly established as one of Britain's leading young pianists. He has performed extensively throughout the world, performing with leading orchestras, has worked with many leading conductors, including Yehudi Menuhin, Raymond Leppard and Edo de Wart and appeared at many of the most prestigious music festivals. He has broadcast many times on television and radio throughout the world.
